Mrs. Jo Dubois Dies Suddenly Mrs. Josephine Dubois, a resident of Bishop for many years, died suddenly about 7:30 p.m, Tuesday, July 16, at Palomar Memorial Hospital. She had been residing in the Oceanside area where her brother lives. Mrs. Dubois had visited in Bishop a few weeks ago. Mrs. Dubois was born Oct. 21, 1909, at El Paso, Tex., and moved to San Diego in 1918 where she made her home in La Jolla and attended the Bishop School for Girls. She attended Mills College and married Francis Dubois Sept. 15, 1931. They made their home in Escondido until 1951 when they moved to Bishop. Mrs. Dubois’ husband died suddenly Christmas morning, 1961, in Reno. She left January of this year to make her home in Escondido, and died July 16 following a lengthy illness. She is survived by a son, Francis E. Dubois III, of Julian Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Julie Young, Redwood City; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. M E. Merrill of Julian; and a brother, H. R. McClintock of Escondido. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Palms Mortuary at Escondido. In lieu of flowers, donations to the City of Hope or other cancer funds are requested by the family.
