June E. Bennett

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services for 12-year Bishop 
resident June E. Bennett, 83.

Born in Ohio on June 17, 1919, June married Benjamin E. Bennett and in the early 
1960s, they moved to Southern California.  After many years as secretary to one 
of the Vice Presidents of Hughes Aircraft, she retired to be with friends in 
Bishop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin; stepson, Donald Bennett; 
companion Vern Bryant and all nine of her brothers and sisters.

June is survived by friends David and Charlotte Bryant of Bishop, and Bryant’s 
daughters, Denise Flynn and Ann Shanley and their families; step-daughter-in-
law, Joan Bennett of Barrington, Ill.; and step-grandchildren, Stephen, David 
and Susan Bennett and their families.
