Death of Miss Tracy

Those who knew Miss Kate Tracy, of Big Pine, have heard with deep 
sorrow of her death, which occurred there last Friday.  She was a 
young lady of the highest character and commanding the esteem of 
all who were acquainted with her. As other obituary remarks are 
published in this issue, be it enough to say that her friends were 
many and sincere, as befitted her life.  Rev. Andrew Clark 
conducted the funeral services at Big Pine Saturday.  Through the 
efforts of Mrs. F. Conn and other ladies, the last resting place 
of the departed was made a bed of flowers, being lined and covered 
with evergreen, lilies-of-the valley, etc.  Mrs. Tracy, the mother, 
Jacob Tracy and another brother, now living on their place at Big 
Pine, have the community sympathy in their loss.
