Mae J. Shaffer

Funeral services were held March 3, for Mae J. Shaffer, of Lone Pine, following her 
death March 1, at Southern Inyo Hospital.  She was 69.

The Rev. Terry Pierce of the Church of the Nazarene officiated at the service, held 
at Owens Valley Mortuary Chapel.  Burial was in Mount Whitney cemetery.

Mrs. Shaffer was born May 1, 1906 in Booneville, AR.

She is survived by her husband William; two sons, Thomas Rankin of Monterey and Bob 
Shaffer of Alta Loma; three brothers, Barney Bledsoe of Red Oak, Okla., Grandville 
Bledsoe of MacAlaster, Okla., and Carl Bledsloe of Trona; two sisters, Myrtle Doran 
of Ventura and Catherine Pearce of Tehachapi; and four grandchildren.
