Betty Gardner

A combined memorial service is being planned for the summer 
of 2003 for Bishop residents Betty Garrdner, 87, and her 
husband Ted.  The date will be announced at a future time.

Born Nov. 27, 1915 in San Pedro, Calif., Mrs. Gardner died on 
Dec. 17 in Reno.

Born Martha Elizabeth, Mrs. Gardner graduated from the L.A.
City College School of Nursing in 1938.  In 1939 she married
Ted Gardner, her high school sweetheart.

Betty and Ted and their two sons moved to Bishop in 1950, where
they lived until 2000.  Betty was a school nurse for a number 
of years, a hospital volunteer, and very active in many community
supported organizations.  Betty dearly loved their life in Bishop
and had many friends there.  She will be remembered with love by all.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, in August of 2002.

She is survived by their sons, Ron and Greg; grandchildren, Bryan,
Jewell, Seferino and Hannah; and great-grandson Andrew.
