Mary Beatty MacQueen

The Rev. Hackett Johnson of Bishop Presbyterian church officiated 
at graveside services held Feb. 16 at Pioneer Cemetery, Bishop, 
for Mary Beatty MacQueen, 64, former Bishop resident who passed 
away Feb. 4 in Auburn.  Funeral rites were held in Auburn Feb. 9.

Mrs. MacQueen was born in Louisville, KY Sept. 29, 1913, the 
daughter of Hugh and Frankie Beatty.  They came to Bishop in 1921 
where Mr. Beatty operated the Ford agency.  Mary attended Bishop 
schools and later went to Business College.  Before moving to 
Auburn about three years ago, she had operated Mary's Specialty 
Shop on East Line Street.

She and her daughter Donna had lived in England in 1959-60.  
Donna now lives in Auburn.
