Funeral services were held June 10 at Pioneer cemetery for Mary Ellen Leidy, an Inyo County pioneer who died 
June 6 in Los Angeles.  She was 94.

Officer of Mt. Whitney chapter 197, Order of the Eastern Star, conducted the graveside service.  Mrs. Leidy 
had been a member of the order for 52 years.

Mrs. Leidy was born in Bishop February 20, 1876, the daughter of A. A. and Ann Cashbaugh.  She was graduated 
from Bishop Grammar School in 1894.

Following the death of her first husband, she marred Louis Leidy.  She was an active member of the Women's 
Relief Corps for many years.

Survivors include a daughter Joeine Shortreed, Glendale; a brother, W. A. Cashbaugh, Bishop; two grandsons 
F. Donald Dodier Jr., Ventura, and Robret Dodier, Palos Verdes, and four great-grandchildren.
