Mary Patricia (Dolan) Goodwin Born Sept. 7, 1918 in Mason, Nev., former Lone Pine resident Mary Patricia (Dolan) Goodwin died at her home in Oakland, Calif. on Sept 3, 2002 Pat attended schools in Bodie and Lone Pine, and moved to Berkeley in 1936 to attend the University of California, graduating in 1941. During World War II she worked at the naval supply depot. After the was, she worked in the admissions office at UC Berkeley for many years. she was then appointed Associate Director of Relations with Schools at the university, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the California Alumni Association and St. Theresa's Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild at St. Theresa's. Survivors include sister, Marjorie Voss and brother-in-law Darl Voss of Reno; sister-in-law, May Deleray of Oakland; and Persis Coleman of Etowah, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Dr. L. James Bell of Phoenix, Ariz., who lived with her while attending UC Berkeley, Leslie Bell Hernandez of Loyalton, Calif., Kenneth Deleray of San Leandro, Calif., Mary Russell of Grass Valley, Calif., Margaret Psara of San Lorenzo, Calif., Thomas Deleray of Oakland, and Mary Patricia Voss of Reno; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Edmund J. Goodwin, nephew, Tim Voss, and her ward, Margaret Singletary. All of her many fmaily and friends will miss her dearly.
