Mrs. V. G. Thompson Mrs. V. G. Thompson, resident of Inyo since 1872, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. W. Webb, at Big Pine Tuesday. Mrs. Thompson was born in Buckfield, Maine, May 15, 1832, and lived in her native State until after her marriage. Mr. Thompson preceded her to California, and in 1866 she rejoined him in Havilah, Kern county. They moved to Independence in 1872, and became managers of the well known old Blaney House. Every old-time resident of the county will recall the genial Mr. Thompson and his refined and ever pleasant lady, and their cordial kindnesses and unfailing courtesies, and will bestow more than passing thought on their memories. Since her husband's death Mrs. Thompson's home has been with Mr. and Mrs. Webb. Mrs. Ivan W. Bunney is also their daughter.
