Final Rites held for Mrs. Nellie Smith

Funeral services were held Monday at Blake Funeral Chapel in Bishop for Mrs. Millard Smith, 61, 
who passed away at her home last Sunday, May 11, Mother's Day.  Rev. Alford B. Chalk performed 
the ceremony.  Interment was in Odd Fellow cemetery in the Shelly Lot.

She was born April 26, 1886 in Bishop, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shelly and was 
christened Nellie Josephine Shelly.  She attended Bishop schools, and except for a period from 
1933 to 1943 when she resided in Siskiyou county, she has been a lifetime Inyo resident.  She 
was a former member of Neighbors of Woodcraft.  

Surviving are her husband, Millard; two sons, Allen Kispert of Redding and Chas. Kispert of 
Long Valley; a sister, Mrs. Laura Clough, and a brother, William A. Shelly, both of Bishop.
