Olivia Martin Baird Smith

Private family services for Olivia "Ollie" Martin Baird Smith, 77, will he(orig. sp.) held at a later date.

Mrs. Smith died Oct. 1 at Southern Inyo Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born September 22, 1922 in Ferndale, Calif.  She lived in Humboldt County for the first 42 years of 
her life, the remaining 34 years she resided in Lone Pine.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the VFW women's auxiliary for more than 20 years.  She also belonged to the 
Church of the Nazarene in Lone Pine.

Survivors include her son Allan Baird and his wife Linda of Fortuna, Calif.; daughter Anita Duke of Lone 
Pine; grandchildren, Walter & Jack Duke, Sherri, Lydia and Correy Baird, Christafer and Morgan Christiansen, 
and Jessica Tyi Baird; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Chism and Aurora Ingersoll of Fortuna, 
Calif.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Myron "Mike" Smith in 1995.

Donations in her memory may be made to defray final expenses.  These can be sent to he daughter, Anita Duke
