Ralph A. Wheeler

Ralph Wheeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Wheeler, of Bishop, 
died in Monterey, Cal., Monday, a native of San Diego, Cal., 
aged 31 years, 7 months, 15 days.

Ralph was a steady, industrious young man, resident here for 
several years.  His most recent employment was with the Owens 
Valley Lumber Company, a position he left very recently after 
learning that he would soon be called to army service.  He 
went to Monterey, the former home of his bride of a few months, 
and was there awaiting notice to proceed to military camp, 
when he was taken ill.  A brother, Walter Wheeler, is with the 
American Expeditionary Forces in Frfance(orig. sp.).
