Ralph Kenneth Almond
1913 - 2003

Funeral services were private for 58-year Bishop resident Ralph Kenneth Almond, 89.

Born July 17, 1913 in Monte Vista, Colo., Mr. Almond died on June 21, 2003 at the 
Bishop Care Center.

Ralph was on the line crew that installed the original power lines from Mojave to 
Bishop, bringing electricity to the Owens Valley.  He used to say, "I climbed every 
third one of those poles."  He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Ramona "Rae" 
Smith and Jeremy Figueroa.

He is survived by wife, Mary Bartlett Almond; son, Burt Almond of Bishop; daughter, 
Charl-Deane Almond of Bishop; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Hector Figueroa of 
Las Vegas; grandchildren, Carrie Almond of Bishop, and Jeremy and Matthew Figueroa 
of Las Vegas.
