Ralph M. Johnston

Funeral services were held Jan. 17 for Ralph M. Johnston, 73, of Bishop, following his death Jan. 14, at Northern Inyo 
Hospital.

The Rev. W. G. Bates of the Southern Baptist Church officiated at the service, held at Brune-Talmage Chapel.  Burial 
was in Pioneer Cemetery.

Mr. Johnston was born October 7, 1901, in Oklahoma.

He was a 20-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department.

He is survived by his wife, Violet; and two sisters, Mae Leach of Bishop and Nellie Nelson of Twin Falls, Idaho.

Pallbearers were Chester Shinabarger, Bert Kerr, Jim Balsters, Ken Clammer, Pete Peterson and William Boone.
