Ray D. Huckaby (Contributed) After an illness of four weeks or more with typhoid fever, which developed into pneumonia, Ray D. Huckaby passed away Monday morning, October 5th, and was laid away Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the family plot in the Pioneer cemetery, on the eve of his 21st birthday. A beautiful profusion of flowers entirely covered the grave. The evening before his death he requested to be sung "My Isle of Golden Dreams," which was rendered touchingly by Mrs. M. C. Ray at the services. He was the twin brother of Raymond D. and the youngest of the family of Mrs. E. I. And the late George Huckaby. He also leaves three older brothers and four sisters. The pallbearers, all intimate friends of Ray, were Stanley Kuhn, John McMullen, Howard Farrington, Chester Harlin, Archie Beauregard, and Earl Schrimpf.
