Raymond Wayne Jordan Former Bishop resident Raymond Wayne Jordan, 46, died at his Reno home Jan. 30 of cancer. Born March 30, 1952 in Wilbur, Wash., he lived in Bishop for 12 years before moving first to Ridgecrest and then to Reno, Nev., where he lived for the past five years. Mr. Jordan was a hard rock miner for 12 years and a ceramic tile setter for 15 years. He was a member of the National Horseshoe Pitching Association. Mr. Jordan received the Purple Heart while serving with the U. S. Army in Vietnam from 1967-71, He attended Dilworth Middle School and Sparks High School, both in Sparks, Nev. Survivors include wife Gerrilyn, son Justin, daughters Carrie and Crystal Jordan, all of Reno; mother and stepfather Mary and Richard Brodrick of Reno; father and stepmother Tom and Darlene Jordan of Bellevue, Wash.; five sisters, three granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
