Richard St. Clair Steele

Funeral Services were held Jan. 21 for Richard S. 
Steele of Big Pine following his death January 17 
at the University of Arizona Hospital in Tucson, 
AZ. He was 82.

The Rev. Oliver L. Tanquary of the Big Pine Community 
Methodist Church officiated at the service, held at 
Big Pine Community Methodist Church.  Burial was in 
Big Pine Cemetery.

Mr. Steele was born Jan. 27, 1901 in White Eagle, OK.

He is survived by three sons, Richard Steele, Jr. of 
Sebastopol, CA. and Carl and Marion Steele of Rock 
Springs, WY; two daughters, Sharon LaFleur of Lemore, 
CA and Anita Bonds of Tucson, AZ; one brother, Harold 
Steele of Wheaton, MD; one sister, Marian Steele of 
Lacey, WA; 18 grandchildren and five great 
grandchildren.
