Rita Fletcher

The Rev. Rita Fletcher Hawkins, founding minister 
of the Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science, 
died Jan. 10 in Long Beach, CA

She was born in Bishop in 1898.  Her mother, Mrs. 
Berna Rossi Fletcher, was one of the pioneers in the 
Bishop area and for many years ran the Laws Hotel.

She is survived by her son, Vic Hawkins of Buena Park, 
and two daughters, Rev. Dawn Kelton of Long Beach and 
Dr. Rodanne Foy of Fountain Valley.
