Robert Lee Currie Graveside funeral services will be held today (Dec. 30) at 1 p.m. at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop for long-time local resident Robert Lee Currie, age 77. Rev. Stan Summers of House of Mercy Pentecostal Church will officiate. Born at Mono Lake on March 27, 1926, Robert died Dec. 23, 2003 in Bishop where he had lived for the past 65 years. Robert was the supervisor of Maintenance and Transportation at Bishop Union High School for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. Robert is survived by his wife Beulah M. Currie of Bishop; grandchildren, Travis Currie of Bishop and Kellie Currie of Albuquerque, NM; brother and sister-in-law, Charles "Sam" and Charlene Currie of Fallon, NV; brother-in-law, Lloyd Cooper of Yerington, NV; sister-in-law, Betty Currie of Miles City, MT; sister-in-law Zelda Harvey of Trona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
