Funeral Services Held July 26 For Roland L. McMurry

Funeral services were held at the Don Talmage Chapel Wednesday, July 26 for 
Roland Lloyd McMurry who died July 24 at the Northern Inyo Hospital at Bishop.

Mr. McMurry was born in Big Pine April 10, 1870 and had lived in the valley all of 
his life.

He is survived by three sons, Ray McMurry and Lloyd McMurry of Bishop, and 
Martin McMurry of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mildred Kane of Bishop, great 
grandchildren and two brothers, Ben McMurry of Bishop and Dan of Santa Rosa. 
He also leaves two sisters, Rogna Burdick of Reseda and Elvira Wasson of Reno and 
a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted by the Rev. R. V. Holt and interment was at the Big Pine 
cemetery.  Pallbearers were Merrill Curtis, M. D. Alexander, Bill Reynolds, 
Lawrence Taylor, H. R. Peterson, and Russell Bell.
