Rose W. Lawson Private family services for a long-time Independence resident Rose W. Lawson will be held in Los Angeles on Friday, Oct. 15. Mrs. Lawson died Oct. 9 at the Northridge Hospital. She was 74. She was born in Sharon Springs, Kan. on Nov. 13, 1918. She worked for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for many years, retiring in 1976 to pursue her interior decorating business. Survivors include her husband, Harold Lawson of Independence; son Richard Major of Canoga Park, Calif.; daughter, Sharon Andrews of Independence; two step-children, Pam Perotta of Mission Hills, Calif., and Dave Lawson of Texas; two sisters, Claire Reynolds and Eleanor Walls of Los Angeles; one brother, Ray Wileman of Oregon; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
