Rowena Riley Vonderheide Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. today for Rowena Riley Vonderheide of Verdi, NV, following her death Jan. 6 in Carson City, NV. She was 91. Father Christopher Kelley of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church will officiate at the service to be held at graveside. Burial will be in East Line Street cemetery. She was born in Calico, CA. She is survived by one son, Harry Vonderheide of Reno, NV; one niece, Beatrice Riley McGraw of Bishop; five grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother former State Senator Joe Riley. Mrs. Vonderheide was a resident of the Owens Valley from 1905 until the mid 1950s. She managed Keough's Hot Springs for many years. She was a member of the Bishop High School Board for 14 years. She was the first president of the Women's Improvement Club, and was a member of Mt. Whitney Chapter No. 197, Order of Eastern Star for more than 60 years.
