ANOTHER GONE - Schuyler Williams died at his ranch between this place and Big Pine about four o'clock last evening of lung and kidney troubles. This death reduces by one more the lessening band of pioneers, Mr. Williams having been here for a quarter of a century past. He served through the Mexican war, during which the foundation of later physical troubles were made. What part he has taken in public affairs in Inyo has always been taken on the better side of public questions. He was one of the promoters of the old original Oasis Lodge of Good Templars, organized here in 1869. His surviving relatives now here are Mrs. C. Yeager, a sister, and Frank Elijah, his nephew. Another sister, Mrs. Ransom Elijah, and her husband have been with him lately, but left for their home in Indiana last week, at which time his illness was not at all alarming.
