Stephen "Kelly" Freeman Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m. for Stephen "Kelly" Freeman, of Bishop, following his death Jan. 16 at his residence. He was 63. The Rev. Christopher P. Kelley of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and Wilfred Partridge of the 500th Masonic District will officiate at the service to be held at St. Timothy's Church. Burial will be private. Mr. Freeman was born Aug. 30, 1920 in Crosbyton, TX. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne of Bishop; one son, Stephen Thomas Freeman of Capistrano Beach, CA; one daughter Melva Coleman of Santa Rosa, CA; one sister, Corinne Avery of Albuquerque, and two grandchildren. Those wishing to honor the memory of MR. Freeman may make a memorial donation to the organ fund at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 700 Hobson Street, Bishop, CA. Mr. Freeman was a member of Winnedumah Lodge no. 287 F & AM serving as Chaplin for many years. He was a Past Master of Los Alamitos Lodge No. 809. He was an active member of the Bishop Lions Club, Bishop Elks Lodge, and the Eastern High Sierra Scottish Rite. He served as an advisor to the Eastern High Sierra Chapter Order of DeMolay and recently received the Legion of Honor.
