Death Claims Attorney of Inyo-Mono Water Cases Thomas C. Boone, 50, Modesto attorney, prominently associated with the City of Los Angeles water fight in 1923, passed away Nov. 2 in Modesto. He suffered a heart attack in court and died soon after at the local hospital, it was reported. Boone will be remembered for the many court cases he tried against the City of Los Angeles, emerging victorious in all of his litigation, old-timers recall. He also assisted in putting over the Owens Valley Irrigation District bond issue, which later went on the rocks with the Bishop bank failure.
