Vasie H. Cline Funeral services were held March 8, 1978, for Vasie Herbert Cline, of Reno, and formerly of Bishop, following his death March 5, at the Reno Convalescent Center. He was 95. The Rev. Jimmy R. Weathers of the Missionary Baptist Church officiated at the service, held at Brune-Talmage Chapel. Burial was in East Line Street cemetery. Mr. Cline was born in Bad Axe, MI, July 19, 1882. He is survived by five sons, Wilfred Cline of Fallon, NV., Edward Cline of Auburn, CA., Ray Cline of Bishop, Robert Cline of Bishop, and Lawrence Cline of Fallon, NV; three daughters, Dorothy Wilson of Reno, Alice Pore of Sacramento, and Marjorie Loew of Grass Valley; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wayne Cline, William Pritchard, Paul Cline, Stan Cline, Robert Cline, and Pat Cline. Mr. Cline was the former grand marshal of the Homecoming Parade of 1964; former Cowpoke of the year for the Mule Days Celebration, and in his early days drove a 20 mule team in Death Valley.
