Walter Blair Scronce


Memorial services were held for former Bishop resident 
Walter Blair Scronce, 59, on Jan. 8, 2003 in El Dorado 
Hills, Calif.

Born August 4, 1942 in Catawaba County, N.C. to Walter 
Scronce and Dorthea Smith, Mr. Scronce died at the home of 
his brother Ken on Jan. 3, 2003.

He moved to Lee Vining in 1959, and then moved to Bishop in 
1964. He worked several years for JL Walton Trucking. He 
moved to the Victorville area and then to Las Vegas, working 
in trucking and the heavy equipment fields.

Blair is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Beth and 
husband Travis Tingey; sons and families, Michael and 
Yolanda and Brian; grandchildren, Paige and Gavin, Oakley, 
Brittney and Robert; sister, Carolyn and Grand Hubbard; 
sister, Dottie Rojas; brothers and families, Ned and Joann, 
Coy and Clara, Steve and Mary, Dean and Linda, Ken and 
Jessie, Ricky and Diane, and Wayne and Karen.
