Walter Mc Main Funeral services were held last week in Beaumont for Walter McMain, former resident of Bishop, following his death November 15 at his Beaumont home. He was 71. Burial was in Bishop. Mr. McMain was born June 10, 1899, in Miami, Okla. He worked in Bishop, and was a retired employee of the Los Angeles dept of water and power. He had been a resident of Beaumont for six months. He is survived by his wife Lula; four sons, Lewis of Fort Worth, Texas; Walter, Las Vegas; Marshall, with the U. S. Army in Vietnam, and Johnnie Reno, Nev.; one stepson William Wheat, with the merchant marines in Vietnam; four daughters, Gloria Haydahl, Billings, Mont.; Loretta Hartwell, Moore Okla.; Linda French, Bishop, and Eula Helms, Bakersfield. Also surviving are two brothers, Orion of Grant, N.M., and Paul, Euphrata, Wash., and four sisters, Lela Perraulp, San Antonio, Texas, Hazel Vance, Albuquerque, N. M., and Ruth Reid and Agnes Smith, Roswell, N.M.
