Joleen Kittle, William Gonser Exchange Vows
Escorted to the altar on the arm of her father, Miss Joleen Jay(sic) Kittle became the bride of William Wayne Gonser, Sunday, May 7 at the Methodist Church in Bishop.
Officiating at the wedding was the Reverend Rosine. Attending the bride was Maxine Dumpe(sic) as matron of honor and Arlene(sic) Herzig as bridesmaid.
Serving the groom as best man was Bob Dumpe(sic) while Jerry Walsh(sic) and Rush Kittle Jr. acted as the ushers.
Joleen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rush Kittle, designed and made her beautiful bridal gown of full length white satin with lace overskirt and trimmed with satin roses. The strapless gown was topped with a fitted lace jacket made with wrist length sleeves. She wore a finger tip length veil and carried a bouquet of white carnations centered with a white orchid. Her jewelry was a string of pearls that belonged to her grandmother.
The bridal attendants wore bright blue, street length dresses, matching hats and carried bouquets of white mums.
The groom’s mother chose a light blue suit and white accessories. Mrs. Kittle, mother of the bride wore a lavender suit with white accessories; each wore an orchid corsage.
Following a reception attended by relatives and very close friends the newlyweds left for a week's honeymoon in Yosemite. They will make their home in San Diego.
