O'Gwin, Charlie Foster - funeral services will be conducted in the Memorial Chapel at Greenlawn Mortuary on Tuesday, at 8:30 a.m. for Charlie Foster O'Gwin, 81, 2012 Nineteenth Street, who died Jan. 4 in a Bakersfield rest home. A native of Texas he had resided in California for 29 years and in Kern County for 15 years. Mr. O'Gwin had worked in the farming industry for 45 years. Rev. J. Wesley Farr will officiate at the services and interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park. Survivors include his widow, Eva; four daughters, Leona Curtis of Nevada; Helen Hoffman of San Francisco; Louise Lyons of LaJolla and Opal May of Bakersfield; one son Hugh O'Gwin of Okla., one brother Curtis O'Gwin of Arizona, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

O'Gwin, Eva - services were held at Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel Monday for Mrs. Eva O'Gwin, 86, 2016A Nineteenth Street, who died in a Bakersfield hospital Feb. 23. The Rev. Kenneth Adams pastor of the First Methodist Church will officiate. Mrs. O'Gwin had been a resident of Bakersfield 28 years and was a member of the First Methodist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Opal May and Leona Miller of Bakersfield, Helen Hoffman of MO, and Louise Lyons of San Diego; a son, Hugh O'Gwin of Okla; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Orr, Hettie Jane - Private services were held at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel for Hettie Jane Orr, 92, who died July 6 in a Bakersfield Hospital. Interment will be in Vincent Cemetery, Campbell, MO. Mrs. Orr was a native of Missouri and resided in Kern Co. 15 years. Survivors include two daughters, Cladie J. Moren, Bakersfield and Anna Sill, Hawaii; a brother, Virgil Stotts, Michigan; seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Ortiz, Daniel 'Danny' Gabino - Recitation of the Rosary will be tonight at 7:00 p.m. and Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's church, 916 Lexington, Delano, for Danny Gabino Ortiz, 27, of Bakersfield, who passed away March 17, 1990 in a Bakersfield hospital. Father Tom Timmings will officiate and burial will follow in North Kern Cemetery District.
Danny was born November 15, 1962 in Harbor City, was raised in Shafter, and had lived in Bakersfield for the past five years. He had been a correctional officer for Turning Point for almost one year. Survivors include his wife, Irene of Bakersfield; children Anthonica, Candida and Isabel Rose Ortiz of Wasco, and Daniele Ortiz of Bakersfield; parents, Gabino and Candida Ortiz of Delano; sisters, Angelina Salazar of Shafter and Sophia Urbina of McFarland; grandfather, Francisco Ortiz of Paramount; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gabriel Sosa, Ray Gonzales, Averil Morales, Larry Martinez, Albert Ortiz and Candy Carrizales. Delano Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Owen, Clifford - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow in Greenlawn Chapel for Clifford Owen, 41, 1520 Mark St., Arvin, who died yesterday in a local hospital. The Rev. Edward Lancaster will officiate with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Owen, a truck driver was born in Durant, Okla. Aug. 6, 1912 and had lived in Bakersfield 6 weeks. He is survived by his widow Estella Ruth, Arvin; a son Marion Clifford of the U. S. Navy stationed at Port Hueneme; two daughters, Billie Ruth and Carrol Yvonne both of Arvin; four sisters, Ruby Tyson and Lillie Tyson both of Arvin, Susie Bell, Pasadena and Marjorie Gallareto, Lomita and a brother Calvin William of Bakersfield.

He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 12. Robert Pittswell officiating. Born Jan 1, 1927 in Oklahoma, she had resided here the past 13 years. She is survived by her husband, Everett and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lucas of Bakersfield, three sisters, Mrs. J. W. Brown of North Dakota, Phyllis and Gay Lynn Lucas and two brothers Jerry and Steven Lucas, all of Bakersfield.

Marianne Oxford- Marianne Oxford (Mickey) went to join her Heavenly Father, Oct. 18 after a sudden heart attack. Mickey was born in Iowa, Feb. 11, 1922 to Rose and Mickey Miller. Mickey�s helping her family on their farm helped her grow up with deep honest and loving values that Mickey never forgot and shared with others. Mickey shared her givingness to all who knew her, strangers, family, neighbors, and friends alike. Her loving givingness also included volunteering work for four years at Highland Elementary. Standard School where she was greatly appreciated. Family and friends who knew her deeply loved and appreciated Micky for her great love of mankind and her devotion to her beloved grandson, Shane.
Mickey will rest in loving peace at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Friday, Oct. 21 at 2:30 p.m. graveside. Mickey's family includes, Debbie Webber, Frances Oxford, her daughters; and Shane Smith, her grandson. We will always deeply love mother and grandmother.
