ZASOSKI, Leonard

Zasoski, Leonard Michael - Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight and Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 11:30 a.m. Friday, both in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for Leonard Michael Zasoski, 57, of Bakersfield, who died August 2. The Rev. Robert Wenzinger will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial park. Mr. Zasoski, a native of Moose Lake, Minnesota, had been employed for 33 years as a printer by The Bakersfield Californian. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, serving in the Navy. He was a charter member of the Italian Catholic Federation Branch #281 and was a longtime member and usher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He is survived by his wife, Marian; a son, Leonard Jr.; his daughters, Sandy Mihal and Becky Fidler, all of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Kevin, Denny, and Alicia Fiddler, Jeff, Bob and Stephanie Mihal; his mother, Mrs. Mary Upgren of Washington; brothers Louis of Bakersfield and Joe of Washington; sisters, Rosie Bauer, Helen Cisco of Bakersfield, Gertrude Bertram and Agnes Pembleton of Washington. Pallbearers will be Bob Donley, Jim Webb, Jerry Sivesind, Lewis Lefever, Ray Knox and Charley Fussel. Honorary pallbearers will be John Papasergia, Joe Papasergia, Tony Papasergia, Archie Parks, Paul Griffiths, Art Wallace, Chuck Todahl, George Rosendahl, Lloyd Hunley, Louie Lemucchi, Steve Vekas, Gene Harris, Jim Tucker, Ted Fritts, Don Fritts, Don Edwards and Ed Ingalls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. The Hopson Mortuary.
