SPRING BRANCH SCHOOL

Before the Cache Creek School District was formed, the only school in existence in that section was Spring Branch. It was located 200 yards south of the old Quigley residence and was near the Long Valley hill road on the east side (between what later became the Tennessee Ernie Ford place and the Frank Hanson place).

Among the early teachers were Prof. Newton and his wife,   Mrs. Charles Gillette,   Lizzie Nicoll,  Mrs. Polly (Hanson) Bonham,   and probably Bessie Dinsmore

July 11, 1908 - Spring Branch School District lapsed; to become a part of the Cache Creek School District.

October 6, 1908 - The property of the Spring Branch School to be distributed to Burns Valley and Twin Valley School Districts.
