I belong to a long line of Highets (miners) Hayden Hill and Susanville also the Wm. Perry McBridge family in the Willow Creek area. Some good stuff and some bad stuff. I would like to learn more about the McBride family and also more on Samuel Highet before his military enlistment in Missouri, where he got married. Patty Martin

I apologize that no one has replied to your query before now. The Lassen County GenWeb has been going through a change of coordinators and a major site renovation.

What kind of information, specifically, are you seeking with regard to the Highet Family and William Perry McBridge? Perhaps I can assist you if I know what kind of information you want. I am not a resident of Lassen County, but I have access to limited Lassen County records and I also visit Susanville every so often.

McBride Springs (Upper & Lower) (North Lassen) During the late 1870s and 1880s, William P. McBride (1862-1940) operated a blacksmith shop at Hayden Hill. On December 9,1893, McBride sold 128 acres, that included the springs, to A. Gregg for $400.
