Purpose of the Society

• To bring together people with a mutual interest in genealogical research.

• To inform, instruct and educate members in the techniques of research.

• To increase the genealogical holdings of the Special Collections Room at the Stanislaus County Free Public Library and acquire other materials for community use in the form of reference books, microfiche and microfilms.

The Stanislaus County Library, Special Collections Room has a large number of old county records on microfilm.  Volunteers from the Genealogical Society of Stanislaus County volunteer their help at this location and will also answer research queries without charge.  Send queries to:
