Mono County Cemeteries

Before you move on...

My vision for this cemetery listing is to compile contact information for as many of the cemeteries as possible.  If you find out how to get information regarding burials at any of the cemeteries listed here please don’t be stingy!  so that I can share that information with other researchers.  We are also interested in posting headstone photos from any and all of these cemeteries.

Anderson grave at Dogtown

Note from David A. Wright of Great Basin Research: The grave at Dogtown belongs to a man named Anderson.  Other than that, I have no knowledge, and it seems no one else does also.  On my Dogtown page on my site I show his grave.  I speculate that he was buried after Dogtown was ghosted, as his grave sits in front of and between two stone ruins.  The book, "Mono Diggings" by Frank Wedertz, has a tidbit about him.

Mt. Morrison Cemetery (seen on the Mono County Government map as Southern Mono County Cemetery)

This cemetery was established in 1989 and is on the south side of US Hwy 395 between the Mammoth airport and the old green church.
