Mrs. Artellan
Mrs. Louise F. Artellan, 73, of Carmel died yesterday in a local convalescent hospital after a period of failing health.
A member of a pioneer peninsula family, she was born at Point Lobos Aug 1, 1898. Mrs. Artellan's husband, Bennie died in 1944. In recent years she made her home in Carmel on Mission street between 12th and 13th.
She is survived by four sons, Marty of Carmel, Gerald of Carmel Highlands, Paul of Carmel Meadows, and Benjamin of Carmel Valley; two brothers Frank DeAmaral of Carmel Highlands and Will DeAmaral of Marina; two sisters. Mrs. Margaret Casati of Seaside and Mrs. Mariano Munzo of Seaside; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Falinger Funeral Home.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 9 a.m. Friday at Carmel Mission Basilica, preceded by brief rites at 9 a.m. at the mortuary.
Burial will be at Monterey Catholic Cemetery.
