MANUEL ARTELLAN DIES
Manuel Artellan after a long illness passed away on Saturday last at the Pacheco House. Death
was due to consumption, which snuffed out the life of the deceased in his fifty-eighth year.
A large family mourns his passing. He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Chaviter Vasquez, Mrs. Jennie
Butler, and Mrs. John Leoni, four brothers Alphonso, Peter, Julius, and Bonapart, and three children.
The funeral will take place at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning from the Freeman Undertaking Parlor
to the San Carlos church. Interment will take place in the Catholic Cemetery.
