JOSIAH P. COREY DIES IN ARIZONA

Josiah P. Corey, of Yuma Arizona, former Salinas resident, died last night in Yuma hospital, following an attack of pneumonia.

Corey was well-known to many old-time residents of this city, having made his home here for many years before going to Arizona, where he served for several years as supervisor of Yuma county and also served in other public offices. His father, the late Noah Corey, came to the Salinas valley in the early '70s, and prior to that time was a pioneer settler in Sonoma county. Corey was a cousin of Mrs. G. A. Daugherty of Salinas, and Ed E. Littlefield and Fred M. Littlefield, of Monterey.

The body will be brought to Salinas for interment.
