Frank Hook

Frank Thomas "Sonny" Hook of Greenfield died Saturday at Mee Memorial Hospital. He was 59.

Mr. Hook was a Monterey Bay area native and had lived in Greenfield for nine years. He was employed as a truck driver, most recently with M.H.C. Trucking Inc., and was also an accomplished horseman and cattleman.

Mr Hook is survived by his wife Shirley Hook of Greenfield; two sons, Alan Hook of Greenfield and Frank T. Hook Jr. of Atascadero; two step-sons Bob and Bill Grossen of Salinas; three daughters Sharon Ghisletta, Ellen Kaiser, and Diane Duncan of Paterson; a step-daughter, Pat Mathisen of Salinas; three brothers Irvin Franscioni of Monterey, Dennis Hook of Greenfield, and Albert Hook of Mission District; four sisters, Mary Jansen, Florence Soares, and Gail Roth of the Mission District, Soledad, and Jo Pedevilla of Gonzales; 17 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 12 noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Whitehurst/Terry Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in the Soledad Cemetery.
