Doane, Wayne & Peggy April 1994

Wenatchee World, WA April 7, 1994
WENATCHEE - Wayne and Peggy Doane of Wenatchee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house reception March 27 in the Sunnyslope Church. The day was highlighted by a taped original composition written for the occasion by their grandson, Jeff Welch. Plans for the special event were made by their sons and daughter, Gary and Stan, both of Wenatchee, and Marilyn Doane of Kirkland. The Doanes have two grandchildren. Peggy Valaas became the bride of Wayne Doane on March 4, 1944, in Pacific Grove, Calif. He retired as a pharmacist and she retired as a secretary.
