Vows Were Exchanged In Victoria, B.C.
David Glenn Sellars of Pacific Grove and Miss Elizabeth Mardi Haynes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Haynes of Victoria, B.C., were married on March 22. The 7 p.m. ceremony, performed by the rev. John Travis, took place in Centennial United Church at Victoria. The former Miss Haynes, who carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white carnations, chose a full-length shantung sheath. Its lily-point sleeves were of lace, as where the gown’s train and her veil. Penney Barber of Victoria was the maid of honor. Maria Mortensen, a cousin of the bride, and Colleen Campbell, both of Victoria, were bridesmaids. Another cousin, Michele Robinson, was the flower girl. William Fosso of Carmel Valley was best man and serving as ushers were William Stevenson of Victoria and Sheldon James Sellars, a brother of the bridegroom, of Pacific Grove. The newlyweds left to tour Vancouver Island following a reception at Union Center in the British Columbia city. They will return later to the Monterey Peninsula, where Mr. Sellars will continue his education. A graduate of Pacific Grove schools, the bridegroom recently completed three years’ active duty with the U.S. Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie B. Sellars of Pacific Grove attended their son’s wedding. Accompanying them were the benedict’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. David F. Pon Tell of San Marino, and his brothers, Leslie B. Sellars III, Sheldon James Sellars and Michael Eugene Sellars.
