Monterey Peninsula Herald, CA March 18, 1970
Deborah Colleen Hampy became the bride of John William Park on March 7 at the First Assembly of God Church in Pacific Grove, with the Rev. Otis Keener performing the 2 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Barbara Pauls of Porterville and Lovell Hampy of Monterey Park. She is a graduate of Dinuba High School, Porterville Junior College and attended the Bethany Bible School in Santa Cruz. Mr. Park is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mulford T. Park of Monterey. He is a graduate of Monterey High School and Monterey Peninsula College, and is serving in the Navy at the Point Sur Naval Facility. The bride wore a full length gown of white organza and peau d’ane lace designed with a wedding band neckline and an A-line skirt. A cluster of lace, silk and pearl petals held the tiers of her elbow length veil, and she carried a cascade of yellow roses. Quinda Tinder of Porterville was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Suzanne Adams of Pacific Grove and Shirley Galiza, the bride’s roommate at Bethany Bible College. Junior bridesmaid was Connie Pauls, the bride’s half-sister. Best man was David Park of Monterey, the bridegroom’s brother, and seating the guests were Neal Hampy of Monterey Park, the bride’s brother, and Anthony Harrell of Monterey. Following a reception at the Community Center in Pacific Grove, the couple left for a wedding trip to Yosemite. Their future home will be in Carmel.
