Virginia Lee Bradley of Monterey, a retired school district secretary, died Saturday at the Hospice of the Monterey Peninsula after a long illness. She was 72. Mrs. Bradley was born March 31, 1915, in Olton, Texas. She came to Monterey five years ago from Arcadia. She had been employed for 18 years in the Monrovia Unified School District. She was a member of the Quota Club of Monrovia and Duarte, the California State Employees Association, the Retired Public Employees Association and the Church of the Good Shepherd of Arcadia. Survivors include three sisters, Geene Holman of Oakland, Edna Marcroft of Sacramento, and Claudette Foglesong of Watsonville, and a brother, Charles French of Sacramento. No funeral survives will be held. Cremation will be at Little-Chapel-by-the-Sea, with ashes to be scattered at sea off Point Lobos. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that any memorial contributions go to the Hospice of the Monterey Peninsula.
