A Diamond Reveals the Romantic News About Vicki Perelli
A beautiful diamond, which she is wearing on her left hand, gave Miss Victoria Perelli’s many friends the first hint of the romantic news concerning herself and Oscar Hogue of St. Louis, Missouri. Their engagement is now being revealed, but plans for the future are indefinite as Mr. Hogue is attached to the 17th Infantry of the United States Army and that means that wedding bells may ring any day, or may not be heard for many months to come. “Vicky,” who is The Herald’s popular bookkeeper, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Peter Perelli of El Cerrito. She has made her home in Monterey for several years, and is an active member of the local Business and professional Women’s club. A graduate of the Richmond schools, Vicki later graduated from the Bourroughs’ business school in San Francisco. She is the sister of Mrs. Mary Hansen of San Francisco, Peter Perelli Jr., of Woodland, Frank Perelli of El Cerrito and of John Perelli (her twin brother), who has been the golf professional at Lake Tahoe but next month is to be inducted into the army. The son of Mrs. Ella Hogue of St. Louis, the future bridegroom is a member of a large family, and all his relatives make their home in Missouri. He was educated in the St. Louis schools, and came to California when he enlisted in the army soon after the selective service act was passed.
