Pacific Grove Review, CA June 15, 1906
Ralph A. Olmstead surprised his friends this week by bringing home a bride. He was quietly married on Saturday last to Mrs. Etta Elliott in Sacramento at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Demng. His many friends are now wishing him and his bride all happiness.
The following notices of the wedding of Ralph A. Olmstead and Mrs. Etta Elliott are clipped from Sacramento papers: Mrs. Etta Elliott, daughter of Mrs. Theodore Deming, and Ralph Adams Olmsted of Pacific Grove were united in marriage yesterday at the home of the bride in this city, the Rev. Dr. Wills officiating. Only a few friends and near relatives were present. The couple left after the ceremony for Pacific Grove, where they will make their home. Mrs. Olmstead is one of the best known women of Sacramento and has been very prominent in the social life of the city, where she has a host of friends – Sacramento Record Union. A very simple and quiet wedding took place at 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Theodore Deming, when her daughter, Mrs. Etta Elliott, was married to Ralph Adams Olmstead. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J.T. Wills before the immediate relatves and a few intimate friends only. Decorations of sweet peas and asparagus fern were used throughout the house, the dining room, where a light luncheon was served, being all in pink. Mr. & Mrs. Olmstead left on the afternoon train for their home in Pacific Grove – Sacramento Bee.
