Mr. & Mrs. Joe H. Cutler Named Their First Child Kay Louise
If it happened in the movies, people would think it unrealistic, Mrs. W.A. Hanlon told a Tribune representative this week. Four days before the birth of his daughter October 3, Joe H. Cutler was released from the Coast Guard, after a tour of duty which had taken him to India, Australia and Okinawa. Mrs. Hanlon returned this week after assisting her daughter, Mrs. Ellen Ruth Cutler after the birth of her granddaughter, Kay Louise Cutler. The infant weighed 5 lbs, 14 ozs and was born at the Center Maternity hospital in Sacramento. Mrs. Cutler is the former Ellen Ruth Hanlon, who graduated with the class of 1943 at the local high school and is well known on the peninsula. At present she is staying with her sister, Mrs. E.S. Burgess, of Sacramento. Kay Louise’s grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. W.A. Hanlson, 715 Ocean View avenue, and her maternal great grandparents Mr. & Mrs. D.T. Nidever also live in Pacific Grove. Paternal grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Joe H. Cutler of Sacramento. Uncles in the service are Olen and David Cutler. One aunt Rose Cutler, is a student in Sacramento.

The George Schuylers Have Named Their New Son after His Dad
George Ernest Schuyler is the name chosen by Mr. & Mrs. George H. Schuyler for the new addition to the family, who arrived via the Peninsula hospital, at 7 p.m. Friday, October 26. The little fellow has three sisters at home waiting to give him a royal welcome, Elizabeth, Georgia and Navy, and congratulations have arrived from older brother, Alan Schuyler, of Upper Lake. Mrs. George E. Atkinson of Sebastopol is the maternal grandmother.

George Douglas Cox – Technical sergeant and Mrs. William A. Cox, became the parents of a boy whom they named George Douglas, October 23, at the Peninsula Community Hospital. They make their home at 112 14th street.
Joseph Wayne Fortani was the name Mr. & Mrs. Roy Fortani of Del Monte chose for their new son, October 25 at the Peninsula Community Hospital.
Trudi Jeanette Bates – Staff Sergeant and Mrs. Charles Bates of Monterey welcomed a daughter October 26 at the Peninsula Community Hospital. Trudi Jeanette was the name they chose.
John James Gruehl – Sergeant and Mrs. J.W. Gruehl became the parents of a boy October 28 at 5:12 p.m. at the Monterey Hospital, Ltd. The young fellow weighed in at 6 pounds 15 ounces, and was named John James. The Gruehls reside at 410 Congress street.
Sharon Marie, the new daughter of C.A.O.M. and Mrs. William Pfeifer, 751 Laine street, was born at the Monterey hospital Ltd., October 26, at 7:20 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ½ ounces.

Evelyn Ann Morris – that is the name of the daughter born at the Monterey Hospital Ltd to Sgt. and Mrs. Merle C. Morris, 711 Union street. Birth was 7 p.m. on Nov. 5.
Sandra Lee Quinlan – Ph. Mate 1/c and Mrs Quinlan are the parents of Sandra Lee who arrived at the Monterey Hospital Ldt. At 3:25 a.m. Nov. 2. The Quinlans live at the 17 Mile Drive Cottage Court.
Daniel Jerard Bisant – a son for Mr. & Mrs. G.J. Bisant arrive via Monterey Hospital on Nov. 3. The young heavyweight tipped the scales at 9 lbs., 13 oz.
Peter B. Stone – Mr. & Mrs. William L. Stone have named their son Peter Benjamin. He arrived Nov. 3 at the Community Hospital, Carmel. The Stone’s live at 119 Grand Avenue.

Michael Dennis is First Son for Corporal and Mrs. L.J. Straight
Mrs. L.J. Straight welcomed her second child Nov. 8 at the Monterey hospital. Weighing 7 pounds, 15 ounces at birth, he was named Michael Dennis, Mrs. Straight, the former Helen Dasbach, is making her home with her mother, Mrs. Gladys Myers at her David avenue home, while her husband, Corporal L.J. Straight is overseas. Very interested in her new brother is Laurie Lynn, 20 months old. Paternal grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Straight of San Jose. Aviation Radioman first class Dasbach, Michael’s maternal uncle is now at the Alameda air base awaiting discharge after serving 17 months with the navy in the Pacific.

Twins for Danvers – Mr. & Mrs. John Danvers of 745 Ocean View found their family increased by two, November 18. Mrs. Danvers became the mother of twins, a boy and a girl, at the Peninsula Community Hospital.
Armistice Day Baby – Elizabeth Ann Hopper, infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Hopper of 509 Ocean View avenue, arrived November 11 at the Peninsula Community Hospital.
Linda Wright – Seaman 1/c and Mrs. Floyd Wright welcomed a girl, whom they named Linda, November 9, at 11:40 p.m. at the Monterey Hospital Ltd. The Wrights reside at 624 Pine Avenue.
It’s a Girl – Corporal and Mrs. Ralph Olson were the parents of a girl, November 9 at 9:45 p.m. at the Monterey Hospital Ltd. Mrs. Olson, who was for some time a nurse at the same hospital, named their daughter Carol Diane. The Olsons live at 174 David Avenue.

Susan Nye – Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Nye of 555 Pine avenue welcomed a 6 pound 1 ounce daughter November 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the Monterey Hospital Ltd. Susan was the name they chose.
It’s a Boy – Laurence Craig was the name selected by Mr. & Mrs. Jack Raynolds, 508 18th street for their son born November 15 at 10:55 p.m. at the Monterey Hospital Ltd.
Kenneth Lyle Allen – the population of Pine avenue grew again when Kenneth Lyle Allen arrived at the Monterey Hospital Ltd. The son of Mr. & Mrs. H.A. Allen of 739 Pine avenue was born on November 12 at 3:12 p.m.

Richard David Harrica – was the name chosen by Lt. and Mrs. Howard H. Harrica of 114 12th street, for their new son born November 27 at 6:45 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ¼ ounces.
Lloyd Harrison – Corporal and Mrs. Merrill L. Harrison welcomed a son November 21 at 11:17 a.m. at the Monterey Hospital Ltd. The Harrisons who live at 169 Hawthorne street namd his son Thomas Lloyd.
Girl for Emerys – Yeoman 1/c and Mrs. Stephen Emery of 842 Dennet street welcomed a baby daughter November 26 at the Peninsula Community Hospital. Unnamed as yet, she was born at 11:40 p.m.
It Was a Boy – For Mr. & Mrs. Vincent L. Dulay of 35 3rd street at the Peninsula Community Hospital. He was born November 26 at 4:34 p.m.
