Donald L. Grunsky – Memorial services. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of the life of former State Senator Donald L. Grunsky on Saturday, April 22, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Hights Senior Center, Watsonville. Mr. Grunsky died on January 13, 2000. He served in the California Legislature for 30 years before retiring. In the 150 year history of California, only eight others have reached the 30-year mark for legislative service. In addition to his legislative career, Mr. Grunsky was a highly skilled and distringuished trial lawyer. In 1945 he founded the law firm now known as Grunsky, Ebey, Farrah & Howell. He was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, whose membership is limited to the top 10 percent of all attorneys. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Lou.
