Mary Susan Taylor has received special permission from Ms. Carolyn Garcia, managing editor of the Monterey County Herald, to post obituaries published in the Herald on the CAGenWeb Monterey County web site.
The Herald is to be commended for their generous permission to make this information available to a larger and very appreciative audience. Having these obituaries freely available will help countless numbers of present and future genealogists.
Copyright of all obituaries remain with the Herald. Please don’t abuse this generous allowance.
No significant changes were made to the text of each obituary. Some typos are corrected, some are not. Obituaries up to and including 2003 are included here. After that date, obituaries are available form Obits Archive or Legacy. However, some later obituaries are included if they concern Pacific Grove or the deceased is buried in El Carmelo Cemetery. Additional current obituaries might be included at a later date.
