Marilyn Joy Pearson, a homemaker for more than 48 years, died Wednesday at Hospice House in Monterey. She was 69. The native of Omaha, Neb., lived in Orinda 30 years before moving to Pebble Beach in 1980. She was a prom queen for her class of 1944 and a member of Spinsters in Omaha. She enjoyed traveling to her second home in La Quinta and visiting with her son. She was a member of Orinda Chapter 635 of Order of Eastern Star, former member of Round Hill Country Club in Alamo and Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach. She is survived by her husband of more than 48 years, Gene Pearson of Pebble Beach; son, Craig Pearson of Palm Desert; and two grandsons. Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Little Chapel by the Sea, Pacific Grove. Entombment at El Carmelo Mausoleum there. Arrangements by Paul Mortuary, Pacific Grove. Memorial gifts: Hospice of the Central Coast, P.O. Box 1798, Monterey, CA 93942; or to charity.
