Up for historical review
Trimmer Hill, the home of Pacific Grove’s first mayor, Oliver Smith Trimmer, has been recommended for placement on the National Register of Historical Places by the State Historical Resources Commission. The home, constructed in 1893, is at 230 Sixth St. the staff of the Keeper of the National Register in Washington, D.C., will now review the recommendation. Pepper O’Neill of Point Lobos and the Pacific Grove Heritage Society made the request to the state. The above photo with Mayor Trimmer is from the Pat Hathaway Collection.
